Poll Results (September, 2006)

Yes: 92% (44)
No: 8% (4)

Select Comments

  • (IA) Really needs work. 'Need to convey the attitude: 'We're willing to work together and negotiate'
  • (OR) Oregon Universities do not protect the majority of research inventions. Those that are protected are not fairly valued in licensing discussions.
  • (WA) The University of Washington & Fred Hutch. are two of the larger reasons why Seattle will never be a biotechnology force. Both recieve more federal funding than any other institution other than Johns Hopkins. So, the need to partner with the private sector is limited.
  • (WA) Needs improvement.
  • (WA) Excellent but like many Washington State agencies is not funded from the correct source.
